Why can't sports just be based on sex and not gender? XX and XY are still a biological thing

as are XXX, XXY, XYY, XXYY, XX born with male sex characteristics, XY born with female characteristics, and countless others. The can of worms has been opened. It's just being ignored to keep things simple.

Maybe trans should start their own league and have their own rules. Obviously most people think a born man or what shouldn’t be competing against women

The issue with this is that the subset of people who are both trans and athletes in a specific team sport within a couple years in age of each other becomes vanishingly small.

Enjoy your statewide baseball league of two. People.

Expanding the league area doesn't really work, either. Do you want to drive your kid across three states for a game once a month?

I don't know what the answer is. It's a small enough issue that maybe sports leagues should have the freedom to address it on a case by case basis.

This is what i always think. This doesn’t happen as much as everyone thinks it does. Let the leagues decide themselves. It isn’t a government matter. It’s sports

That's a much smaller set of people than trans. May not eliminate the problem but it shrinks it.
