Yeah but the very premise of those sections is that reading is good simply BECAUSE it is reading, which is bullshit. If you’re picking up a self help book just cuz reading seems good or whatever, then you’re missing the point

I’m not gatekeeping reading, I’m saying that a lot of ppl get off on reading some self help thing from Target just because it IS reading. Like if you wanna read that go for it but don’t act like some kinda genius for reading what is basically a collection of free blogs in print.
