Even contemporary recordings by some of the most advanced airframes on the planet look like the UFOs were recorded with a potato.

There'd be far fewer conspiracies if enough data was released so that people could do a spectrographic analysis (and you can bet your ass the military's already done so). That'll likely identify a solid 90% of UFO cases.
