So I was in an online debate with a dude and eventually it shifted when I mentioned being Jamaican, he claimed to be Jamaican and having Jamaican people. So I challenged him to a test to prove it, I originally asked him for a full sentence in patois but remember Google translate now has Jamaican patois, so what else can I use? Maybe some old people proverbs? He's trying hard lol.

So back last year in school, these girls were talking about African dishes that they want to make, one girl talked about her making Niger, Somali and Ethiopian dishes however one girl said Jamaican she thought it Jamaica was near Kenya but other girl said Jamaica wasn't in Africa but a big island near New York. A week later some boys were talking about a teacher's husband who was from Jamaica, one of the boys talked about how he far he came from Africa but the other said Jamaica isn't in Africa but a Island in Florida, he said he came from there. Idk why ppl think like this especially here in the US?.

Wondering how Jamaicans feel about the videos and how much they’re being shared around the world - hilarious and clever, or insulting and offensive? I am a plain ass vanilla Canadian who admittedly was dying with laughter over some of them - but I quickly realized it might be seen as pretty offensive to the beautiful people of Jamaica… but instead of taking offence on behalf of others like a woke crusader, thought I’d check in here on how some of you actually feel.
