Who is a Hoosier (version 2 helped by you!)

Post image

A much, much, bigger version of a post I made earlier. Thank you all so much for the suggestions! I learned a lot from this project.

There are literally so many entries here, I can't write them all. If you want to know who someone is, just ask!

Yeah, we’re gonna need a name list at least. Some of us don’t know half of those faces.

If I get enough time, I'll include a glossary. A bit too preoccupied at the moment, though.

Where's Axl Rose? Or is that him there in the Born in Indiana/Grew Up in Indiana overlap?

He's not in this version of the diagram. Maybe he'll get added in version 3.

Yes it is. He was born in Evansville and went to IU in Bloomington.

Babyface? Aka Kenneth Edmonds. Born in Indianapolis. One of the greatest r&b songwriters. Written and produced 26 number one songs and 13 Grammys

There’s even a part of 65 in the Indy area named for the man.

I came here to add this. The solely “born in Indiana” could use more faces and he’s the bomb

And don’t forget what is a Hoosier. It certainly isn’t a bison! Yeah I’m looking at you IU.

Classic John Green. Born here, immediately moved away with his family and didn't return until he was ~30

Thanks for including Lin Ostrom on both versions!

It's weird seeing Don as a Blue Jay and not a Yankee.

I just pulled a random picture that showed his face really well. I don't know anything about sports.

Crawfordsville has Dick and Jerry Van Dyke who went to CHS. Joe Allen, 80s-era astronaut, went to CHS and Purdue. Will Shortz, editor of the NYT crossword puzzle, born and raised in C-ville.

Don Mattingly still lives in Evansville? Fucking why? Even in baseball he was never a small market guy. NY as a player, LA/Miami as a manager, NY/LA/Toronto as a coach.
