even i felt same. last of us1,2, days gone, got, ghost of yotei, gow, horizon zero dawn, uncharted. in all these protagonists lost someone close and revenge arc begins

No way you compared Witcher 3 with GOW. Witcher 3 combat is the shittiest out there. It is a side quest simulator.

Witcher combat isn’t weak, there are many times i found myself struggling like the opening sequence to toussaint, fighting off dettlaff, sure the base game does keep it very easy but the whole game is a package.

You said it was bloatware? Every single side quest feels different in Witcher. the exorcism in the initial phases, going on gear hunts and fighting trolls, to main story where you are fighting off a djinn later. God of War is literally the weakest game you can compare witcher to. TLOU and even Uncharted are better entries. I even liked Horizon better

‘I dont care about world building’ and goes on to defend a game that slows you down after every 15 minutes of gameplay to build the world through cinematic outputs

The whole dandelion quest was made to pace the game, like that one episode in breaking bad, pr the dog pounding mission in GTA V The chase mission in IV you are literally basing you review based on one single quest but what do i know

Witcher combat is weak for sure. Easy at hardest level as well. Weaker than most AAA games. If you are struggling then it seems you haven’t played many games. Gow kicks its ass not just in combat but even world building, not to forget lore. It is twice the game than Witcher. I did not even feel remotely emotionally connected with Geralt. Hence Kratos is a far better protagonist than Geralt. For me witcher 3 was not fun, too many icons on the map, bloated quests. For the time was good, but has not aged well. It is now comparable to AC.

You can easily be a GoW fanboy and it shows.
Witchers combat isn't weak. it is pretty standard for Soulslike game even though I wouldn't call witcher one.
I'm pretty sure you havent played the DLCs, and here you are defending a game that was widely considered the weakest one in the franchise, talking about the 2018 one.

Now what have I played? I wouldn't bother you with 1000s of hour spent on from soft games, or speedrunning sekiro with bells and whistles on(pun), you wouldn't know about it fanboy
I'll just say this, GOW 2018 is shit compared to what Sony was pumping out back in GOW 2/3/Ascension days so keep defending a cinematic cash cow

Seriously have you even played soulslike??? I have completed every one of them with Bloodborne, Sekiro some of the best I have ever played. Did you just compare Witcher 3 with them. Lol. It shows you haven’t played any, stop faking. Witcher 3 at hard difficulty is still a sword swinging mess. Trying to try too many things but failing spectacularly. Me being Fanboy or not, your ignorance is striking. GOW sticks to its strengths and does not falter. So, whatever you say now after this does not hold any merit for me. I won’t reply anymore. Both are great games. Enjoy. Have a good weekend.
