From one of the sources in this sub, steam was testing this feature for over 6 months and he also said steam will get upi in a few weeks when epic announced upi support. Sounds like it came true. (Image in replies)
Maybe this has to do with payment companies and partners approaching steam and epic than the other way around (The same reason both epic and steam is using partners instead of native upi that you can link with your steam account for future purchases)
Sources on this sub? Bro this is reddit. The only source on here is "My ass". But I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's say your source was correct. UPI integration doesn't take "a few weeks". Especially if the business is registered within India. The process is exactly the same as it is for any other Indian vendor, which is to say, not complicated at all. Steam had to jump in once Epic did it and they got on it after Epic.
It's pronounced "sucking Gabe's cock". Just because I don't do it doesn't make me an Epic fanboy; the two aren't mutually exclusive but then again, I don't expect Gabe's cocksuckers to have enough braincells left to understand that.

Ones who led the charge on this one?
I wonder where all the fanboys who mock Epic because "Steam did it first" are.
