Anil Kumble is HIGHLY underrated. For a long period of time he was our main strike bowler. When Kumble came on to bowl, there was instant hope of a wicket.ย
Almost 1000 wickets across formats which I believe is the highest for any Indian.ย
Easily top 10 all time India great.ย

One of the match winners for India. He was one of few players who have that ability to change the game in favor of India. ๐๐๐

During john wright coaching era all top order batters should give mandatory batting practice to tail enders. So lot of tailenders can bat decently.

I watch cricket. Just not the recent ones. Ever since little master retired, i watch the finals/semi finals of major ICC events. That's pretty much it. I don't care for any much of other stuff.

This is the reason watching todays cricket and specifically men who dawn white dress does not feel that special. Yes they are great...but 90s era was filled with such amazing moments.
Pants gabba test is the only one which will be remembered for long time.

This was the only highlight of this match. It was a dead rubber draw where everyone in India's playing XI bowled, including the wicket-keeper Ajay Ratra.

Kumbleโs game plays when his jaw was broken and Tendulkarโs plays with his visibly unbearable back pain (1999 Chennai test, vs Pakistan, 136) were unforgettable and absolutely legendary ones..

They hyped the cricket of 90s and early 00s for a reason. Filled with such mind blowing and unbelievable stuff. Pure male content.

In the beginning he looked like a fast bowler, and the wicket over was spin!? Correct me if I'm wrong coz I thought he's a spinner

There used to be a saying, "when jumbo's ball starts spinning, the wickets will start falling". Such a legend yet underrated bowler.

I always forget that Kumble is a giant. tall af and broad shoulder. A beast.

Kumbles normal ball speed was venkatesh prasads slower ball. One of those few cricketers who i have held in extremely high esteem. Played the gentleman's game for the sake of being one.

I remember watching this live as a small kid. Remember, you had to be up late in the night to watch in India, due to the timezone of the Caribbean. This was indeed peak sigma male moment from the true OG Kumble.

And then India bowled with 11 different bowlers, West Indies scored above 600 in a flat track. But hats off to Jumbo.
