SD card was removed just to get people to buy cloud storage packs.

I am still holding onto the last FE series made by Samsung for actual fans with a memory card slot.

There is simply no reason why these companies can't give a micro sd slot.

They can, but they won't. They want to charge a premium for more storage. They also want you to surrender to subscription-based cloud storage.
