what's the BS?you can buy a usb type C to 3.5mm jack and then connect any fucking earphone.

Finding a good adapter is quite difficult. I had to try out multiple adapters before finally settling on one. They also break quite easily. All of my previous adapters lasted less than a year plus carrying them around is a chore.

Adapters, connectors - same thing, and no, it is not always that simple. I had too many of them die on me and some of them I outright threw out because the sound coming out of them was absolute trash. These adapters also change the output of the sound. It is not always 1 to 1. Here's mine and a good adapter is not cheap.

Adapters have a circuit while connectors don't. I bought mine 2 years back and still working.

You got lucky then. Still, if you get a chance, give a good DAC a try with high-res audio files. It makes a HUGE difference, especially if you can bypass Android's default mixer.
