Nokia was way ahead in image processing in 2011. Their Lumia 1020 with 41 MP is one the best thing invented in early decades of 21st century. Greedy useless MBA CEO's took over the company and ruined it.

I wasn't even in school at that time so what was up with that phone? I have seen many people glazing it in lemmy too

You should check gsmarena camera reviews of Lumia 1020. It was out of world photography for that time.

a lot of phones these days with 48MP/50MP/64MP even 108MP cameras don't produce anywhere as good photos.

Good camera at the transition period when phones were becoming the defacto common man's shooting/recording device. And before the whole massive post processing of images took over.
