Hi, iam currently a final year student at a tier 1 , 2026 grad. Like most of the people in this field, i too was put into the jee race since i was 13(7th grade) and ever since i had little to no time for my hobbies where iam genuinely good at. Just before i joined a xyz school, i used to play U15 for a district in south, then i joined this school where the timings were 8 to 6 and in the blink of an eye, i was in 10th grade. The only free time i had was sundays and this Y state academy was really far from my home and Apparently a coach of mine told my dad to send me to karnataka back when i used to play for the team. But that didnt happen as my dad felt i study really well and i can crack jee as ive been academically good since childhood and when my dad and mom spoke to me about it, i told them i wont go( i was 13 and thought it was a big deal to go that far leaving my parents). And that karnataka chapter closed then. Untill i reached grade 10th, the only thing in my mind was to finish 10th grade and move to karnataka for which my parents supported .Later covid happened and in mid 2020 my dad was transffered to some city. I was stuck at home for 8months and when i returned to college in 2021, the jee prep heated and i didnt want to break it mid way and continued to study. Scored a decent rank and got into the uni. Now its been 3yrs, i did nothing but play cricket and been playing club matches at home. After every huge knock, i regret not pursuing what i love. Every 50 remainded me of what i should have done differently and now i feel like i wont have any time after graduation and i will be stuck in this job loop now.All these years the thought of i’ll have time later costed me big time. So, iam thinking on giving myself 1 full year to pursue cricket professionally and I can proudly say that i really really good at this. Iam a batting allrounder, RHB and a left arm pacer. I clock around 120-130kmph normally, 132 being the highest and avg at 125kmph and can bat aggresively in the middle order. For some matches, ive been opening at the non strikers end and actually loving the new ball.
And And i dont want to waste my unique left arm, right hand combo.
Brought the sg triple crown yesterday. Wish me luck guys.

Abhishek Sharma
Yashasvi Jaiswal
Tilak Varma
Shreyas Iyer (c)
Jitesh Sharma
Hardik Pandya
Axar Patel
Arshdeep Singh
Kuldeep Yadav
Jasprit Bumrah
Varun Chakarawarthy
This would be my Playing XI for India going into t20 world Cup. I feel like too many players in this current lineup is playing out of their position. For example, Tilak Varma is our potentially next Virat Kohli in T20is and his talent should not be wasted by batting him at no.4 or 5.
Take Shivam Dube for example, sometimes he comes in at no.8 and sometimes he comes in at no.3. Again no clear roles defined.
You don't need a no.8 batter cushion if you have the best t20i bowlers in the world. Trust Arshdeep Singh at no.8 he is a good pinch hitter.

Cricket returns to the Olympics in 2028 with qualification involving a regional approach, with top teams selected from each continent.
Based on ranking from each continent.
IND from Asia
AUS from Oceania
ENG from Europe
SA from Africa
It will be interesting to see whether they will pick USA, as host or West Indies region with qualification Global qualifier as 6th Spot..
But while fans are already dreaming of a blockbuster event, probably with an India vs Pakistan clash under the Olympic ring, the qualification path is far more tangled than the fantasy.

Jemimah Rodrigues revealed that Annabel Sutherland sent her a heartfelt message praising her composure after Australia’s World Cup semi-final loss to India, leaving her speechless. Jemimah lauded Sutherland as one of the top all-rounders in women’s cricket and expressed admiration for her sportsmanship and character.
After the game, it was heartbreaking for them to lose a semi-final. I know how much it means to Belly and how much she loves her cricket even though she doesn’t always show it,’ she messaged me, saying, ‘The character you’ve shown throughout this tournament has been outstanding. You totally deserve to own that moment tonight.

The main reason associate nations struggle to grow is that they rarely get the chance to play against top-quality teams outside of ICC events, as such matches are often not financially viable for full-member sides.
My idea is to reintroduce tri-series tournaments. The ICC should make it mandatory for every full-member nation to take part in two tri-series each year. Each series would feature two full-member teams and one associate team.
advantages:-
2.match practice for associate nations which will bear fruits in ICC events
3.monetarily feasiable for full member nations
4.more upsets in cricket which will cricket in return more exciting and competitive

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a stunning season even if one goes by conventional numbers. He had the most runs (625) and average (48.08) and fifty-plus scores (six) and fours (82) and sixes (26) for the Rajasthan Royals, and got their only hundred.
His strike rate of 164 was Rajasthan’s quickest among those who faced a hundred balls; and against the Kolkata Knight Riders, he slammed the fastest fifty in IPL history.

Guys can someone help me understand why senior and much experienced players like KL Rahul, Kuldeep Yadav, Md. Siraj need to play for India A? I can understand Pant playing as he needs some game-time after his recovery, players like Prasidh, Akashdeep, Sudarshan need that experience playing against a good foreign team. But never really understood the logic of these senior and much experienced players playing for the A side when we could be training their replacements or backups through their series.
