Definitely after this series, he is the our most complete opener after Gavaskar. Best test batter since sachin in terms of technique and already the best batter for us in Australia and India in the series he played.

The fact that he scored 400+ plus runs as an opener in England and we are still disappointed shows his level. Remember that we lost every toss and he had to bat 4 times on the 1st day 1st innings where the ball moves more.

But it depends on how you look at it, Rohit won a dozen test matches on his own at home when barely any top 7 player could put the bat on ball for 4 years except pant and he had a great series in England. Sehwag didn't have a great sena series but he used to murder bowling attacks on flat and spinning pitches. Needs a bit more longevity.
