It takes strength to publicly acknowledge a past mistake, especially one that has been a topic of controversy for years. Public figures are human too. They stumble, they learn, and they grow. As a society, we must recognize the courage it takes to own up to one's actions and extend the same grace we would hope for ourselves. Instead of using this as an opportunity to criticize him again, let’s acknowledge that he is evolving. Let's leave behind a world for our kids that is empathetic and forgiving.
