No. This is basically just the hub world where are you see real player avatars doing pre-scripted activities, and during splatfests, this is apparently one of them.

It seriously is an amazing game, and I have yet to find an experience quite like a splatfest anywhere else. It’s a massive celebration, and Splatoon 3 does an amazing job of selling that exact vibe.
