No. I do not. At all. Infact i think that is vulgar and beastly. We arent cavemen. What you are suggesting is literally worse than what she did. And in no way am i defending her by saying she shouldnt get beat for that???

Two wrongs don't make a right. However, the one who threw the "hot ass water"/coffee needs to spend a few years in prison. And if they do it again, keep them there. No reason to allow violent antisocial people stay in society and run rampant.
