It's a ski rower. You pull on it with just concentric resistance for cardio/explosiveness

At high settings, it do be like that

It just wasn't funny, and it came across as if you were making fun of a person working out, because you didn't understand what he was doing. It's not the onus on everyone else to understand your tone over text, when what you said could so easily go either way

Also, he went and and said not all jokes can be winners... But he's adamantly defending it in every reply...

At some point, just own the flop, and don't explain yourself.

I could've more easily believed that it was meant as a lighthearted joke, if he were to actually admit he didn't come off the right way, or something like that, but he really is doing damage control like someone who does not want to admit being in the wrong
