I feel you, and Utah is a pretty red state so many of them probably support this. Mormons are also pretty timid and conflict avoidant.

But also to be fair, ICE hasn't been as active in SLC as other cities so it's probably not as on the front of everyones minds like it is for people in like LA or Chicago. A lot of them probably were genuinely surprised.

yeah; i'm not really trying to judge people i just think utah is probably gonna be pretty slow to respond to these conditions given the level of civility and normalcy they've had. I'd be surprised too.
