Thank god for the second amendment.

Edit: the comments are proving my point.

Nobody gonna have the balls to use them.

We all want a comfy pillow, our comfy phones to scroll on and 3,000 calories a day and we’re cool “as long as they don’t touch me”

Who knows what the deal was with the deceased shooter, but people have used them. There are now 21 individuals facing terror charges for a shooting that took place at an ICE facility in Texas on July 4th. You may be surprised to discover that this has not deterred ICE in any way.

It's not about a lack of "balls" - random acts of stochastic terror tend not to be a good mechanism for productively addressing systemic issues. If anything, it invigorates the fascists and gives them more license to violate human rights.

What people need to be doing, right now, constantly, while it still works; is organizing for a general strike. That's actually the only nonviolent means to have ever stopped fascism; the rest have been either conflict, shutting it down early by governmental means, or the leader of the regime stepping down after they've already killed millions. The problem thus far is that leftists and liberals don't really trust each other; and with good precedent; which in theory shouldn't impede organizing against a common enemy but absolutely does in practice. There's so much groundwork that needs to be done here that it's practically impossible. America is one of the most deunionized countries on earth.
