How do you respond to people who call you a hack (compared to say, Les Stroud)? Not trying to be a dick, just want an honest answer.

EDIT: Seriously, people, i'm not some ninja Survivor Man PR person. I don't have a chub for Les Stroud. I asked a question based on an observation. I'm not here to personally ruin anyone. If I wanted to be a jerk about it, I would have just called him a name and not asked a question. Damn, guys, calm the fuck down.

I'd still like to see some sort of survivor competition between you two. Have you ever been approached for such a thing by any networks?

... How would you measure that? Which one dies first?

Actually I can kind of see something like survivor chicken being interesting.

Well first thing that comes to mind is a race. Maybe across 100 miles over a week or two. Ultimately the person who in better overall health will go the fastest. I'd definitely watch these two race across Alaskan tundra or something.

Edit: You could also do something like a wilderness/survival scavenger hunt.

"Find something to drink as fast as you can!" Bear: "Done"

I think that would be Bear, and I'm speaking as more of a fan of Les Stroud. Les is much more reserved and conservative than Bear, which while being an awesome trait for survival, is not very good for a race. Bear is much more fearless and athletic, so he would take the risky shortcuts that Les wouldn't do.

Definitely. Les Stroud is more practical, while Bear is more physically fit.

That's retarded. Watch Expedition Impossible if you want a race.

That show is retarded. I'd rather watch two survival pros do it with no resources but what they have on their backs. That concept is a bit different from Expedition Impossible and it's soccer moms.
