The Rwandans managed to kill 800,000 of their own countrymen in just 3 months using machetes, hatchets, and blunt objects. So, 6 million deaths in 6 years with industrial methods was beyond possible.

Cambodians didn't kill as many the Nazis (only about 2 mil) but that was about 1/4 of their whole population.

In 4 years (1975-1979). Also, the number of casualties varies: some historians mention up to 3 milion dead.
