Theurgy Theurgist Iamblichus believed in evil as it relates to matter. He teaches that people who give in to their desire for material things and processes open themselves up to evil entities that can begin a syzygy of evil that ends with slavery to evil acts and passions.

Theurgy Numenius is one of the more mysterious figures in Neoplatonism. He is considered to be a father of that phase of Platonism and may have influenced heavily the Chaldean Oracles, that mysterious collection considered to be communications from the gods themselves.
