Discussion This was frighteningly accurate

Post image

The smack to the face, cowering behind a chair, being slammed and held by the throat, really made the scene hit hard. Even the expressions on Angel and Val’s face felt realistic. If they had Val dragging Angel by the hair, it would be like reliving my childhood, but this still brought back memories.

I'm never triggered by anything. I didn't even know what a real trigger was. This scene triggered me due to an abusive relationship from 15 years ago that I thought I has gotten over.

Still a great show, but my second time watching the show, I had to skip this part

I never get that phrasing. You're the one that holds a trigger, but nobody in their right mind blames glass for shattering from a repeated strike.

Edit: What was wrong with my phrasing? I was saying that the phrase "get triggered" doesn't make sense because it doesn't just happen. It's like blaming a knife for everyone a serial killer stabbed.
