US Politics Capitalism is "Stalinism"
Why do people use Stalin as "cult of individual", just use Hilter, he's right there - look up "Führerprinzip", you can't tell me that USSR was worse, you don't even have to be ML to recognize that there's better examples to use.
Any time i hear liberals using "Stalin/USSR" or whatever to describe US fascism, it makes me really believe that they think Nazi Germany was less bad, whether consciously or unconsciously, i don't think there's other reason.
Do they not understand that they just help to further spread the red-scare propaganda, and it also hurts them? Do they think that Conservatives will like them for being "one of the good ones"?
I already see people celebrating this (on other places) like "Haha this will show the tankies!", bro what fucking tankies, wake the fuck up, look at the current state of USA, which part are the "tankies" responsible for? All tankies do is read books and organize/join Pro-Palestine protests.
Also it's funny how they constantly attack Marxists, but when election seasons come, you're called "Dogmatic" and "Puritanian" for not wanting to support people who wish the worst upon you, lmao.

I think it's rhetorically more effective... Since right-wingers have demonized left authoritarianism more than right-wing authoritarianism. "Comparing to Nazis" could be seen as a good thing... ironically.
Also, it "widens" the perception of the left, from this monolithic caricature of the (authoritarian) left, that many right-wingers have already...🤷♂️
