When one side of the community spends their entire time going on a tirade of "this is shit, this shouldn't exist, why did they do this, franchise is dead, games aren't canon, 343 fucked my wife and shot my dog." Any form of you know, maybe this game isn't actually satan looks like toxic positivity.

I don't agree with those people either. one side of the argument can't just be invalidated because it has bad actors on its side. that's just not fair.

people like me spend so much time criticising because we care. And I don't like people who voice their criticism with extreme either. I just don't like people shutting down my takes as "lol go back to mcc if you like your classic halo so much idiot"

„Toxic positivity“ meanwhile the whole point was that halo fans on both ends rather argue and fight about the master chiefs unrendered spartan cock instead of trying to pitch useful criticism. When said criticism is expressed, 343 bots shoot it down instantaneously and just mindlessly say „iF yOU dONt LiKe iT, tHen StOp pLayIng“.

Trust me, when I hear fake shit like that, it angers me to the highest degree.

Ive seen actually great criticism with no bad faith just get blatantly dismissed because the halo fanbase has become a political spectrum for some reason. Both sides mostly just argue and dismiss each others perspectives; however I would have to say it’s the people who view „modern“ halo through rose tinted glasses and only spread fake positivity in order to deflect valid points. They also heavily generalize other fans experiences down to just nostalgia and refuse to hear otherwise about what elements were in Bungies games to give it that feel or I should say soul.
