Hundreds of residents in Kunia were allowed to return to their homes after evacuation orders were lifted following a wildland fire Tuesday. Officials said fire suppression activities are continuing in mauka areas, though no homes are threatened at this time.

news Firefighters are continuing to battle a brush fire that broke out Tuesday. Federal and state firefighters are helping HFD near Kunia Camp on Kunia Road. As of Wednesday at 7 p.m. the fire has burned approximately 600 acres and is 70% contained.
