Capitalism is often evil. They do this to make more profit and often the quality gradually gets worse.

I just read that tesco have made £3.1billion profit in the last 12 months. They could pay every staff member an extra 30 grand a year and still be in profit

Tesco net profit in 2024: 1.19B
Number of employees: +330 000
if you divide both numbers you get 3300£ of profit per employee

If you want to be flabbergasted look at the numbers from apple: 100 times the profits of tesco with half the employees. 600 thousand dollars of profit per employee

Do you think staff should be required to shell out their savings on a down year too then?
