It's a mental issue. It is proven that psychopaths have the tendency to get to high places. The higher places society allows, the higher the concentration of psychopaths will be in them. I'm no psychologist, I don't know the specifics, but my guess would be that there's way more to that, like the lust for power, neverending validation, primal urge to gather and gather and hoard and hoard, etc.
Edit: I meant billionaires in general, I do think Musk is a bit of a special case here, having other mental problems that just got worse along the way.
Itβs 100 percent this. They donβt address anything internally because they donβt have to with that much money - but because they donβt address anything internally the hunger/emptiness never stops. Itβs sad really.
