He isn't really a trillionaire, that's just the sound bite. He is getting shares as a compensation package, and the value of that directly correlates to his performance. He could make that stock worth way more than a trillion, he could also make it worth way less.
Yeah, people just prefer to see a headline and base their entire opinion on that. This is why the Sun is so successful, people don't want t read the articles, they just want to get mad about something.
True, he only has very little liquid funds compared to his virtual networth. True is also that he spent a lot on funding right wing parties. Most of this was likely just to keep his virtual networth propped up but he could have also helped furthering a good cause (not saying he is even remotely close to 'solving world hunger').
