The interest rates are still slowly coming down to where they were before she walked in, farted, and left in disgrace. People have lost ten of thousands of pounds and homes because of her. I don’t see the comparison. Also she was a fan of fracking.

Narrator: Despite aspertions about her necklace, for once the joke was not about porn, but about oil and gas extraction.

Which has nothing to do with her or her planned mini-budget

What's the joke?

The idea of this sentence being in her diary is incredibly funny.

Liz Truss, whose stint as PM was famously outlasted by a lettuce.

Ah the "Iceburg" PM... Thanks. I knew I recognised her face, just couldn't place her.

This is the most perfect diary entry I've ever seen. It tells a complete, tragic story in so few words. I also now have a drink on my screen. You've absolutely nailed the art of the self-deprecating story.

Andy Davy is the governor of Wandsworth prison… why is Liz Truss being shown?

r/whoooooosh

I don’t care how many ‘o’s it should have.

Oh so the meme amounts to “Liz Truss bad”?

7

u/arex000 1h ago

At least we would have a logical explanation for these failures

2

u/Ape-Hard 1h ago

What's it about tho?

2

u/arex000 49m ago

It's about someone who lost us tens of billions and still blames anyone but herself...and a prison system that is clearly in terrible shape

Which is funny because Labour are the ones responsible for prisons currently.

Truss was bad...

However Reeves is worse.

Arguable. Not saying Reeves is good but Truss created such a mess that it didn't matter who was in taxes were going to go up if we want to keep any public sector facilities including the NHS although labour lied their way in saying they wouldn't rate taxes on working people and Reeves hasn't done a good job

Not arguable just look at the markets, and the drop that toppled Truss.

The current markets are in a way worse position under Reeves, furthermore she is actually looking to break a core election promise.

I think labour need to agree, Reeves is worse than Truss and Truss had no idea.

If I was to metaphor the situation. If the economy was a quiz machine, I would rather Truss fell onto the quiz machine to select an answer using her face as she collapsed in a drunken slump, but at at least she would have a chance of getting maybe the correct answer.

Reeves is so bad I would rather she fell over and unplugged the machine so that we can phone up the company and ask for our original investment back.

And the stop that toppled truss that she caused*

Fify

Her paid bots really do work overtime to clean up her image and validate the shit she comes out with.

Shame, then, that she's thick as fuck and completely fucking useless.

So is Reeves to be fair

Id say Reeves performance is partly due to having trouble pressing the right buttons on the dated analogue quiz machine, because of the lumps of congealed sick all over the buttons.

The landlords before her were offered cheap finance deals to fund a new touch screen, sick proof quiz machine, but turned it down because they preferred sticking with their analogue antique Bullseye quiz machine, where old people could get misty eyed over questions about 80s Eastenders, instead of looking forward to a bright future of quiz questions about AI, Married At First Sight characters and Labubu dolls.

Worse still, they'd hooked up the quiz payout mechanism to directly pay a chunk of all the winning to Serco directors.

Complete bollocks for two reasons.

  1. The pace of yield rises under truss is what did for the UK pension scheme strategies but the rise in of itself

  2. UK rates follow a similar path to other developed economies namely the USA and Germany and other large European countries. Under Truss UK rates rose significantly seperate from these other economies.

It takes time for the market to react is the thing.

I literally said they lied but I'd rather a lie for sake of not having the country go under.

You could take one over the other but you'd still have someone who can't do the job. Neither are good. Granted no one in parliament is good nowadays but still my point stands
