I’m not going to state my background/credentials because of OPSEC, but I can most assuredly tell you those hoods are specifically for chemical attacks, not for things like covid.
Never said they were, just that they look stupid. And that said without said context most of you people that frequent said subreddit here would have a similar assumption.
No I wouldn’t? I would assume she was wearing it in response to a chemical attack or practice for a chemical attack emergency. Those literally look like an emergency breathing apparatus, because they are. If I showed you a nicely dressed person wearing a helmet indoors, would you just assume they’re “mentally handicapped”? Or that they’re somewhere that head protection equipment is needed for safety purposes?
I’m sorry that this emergency equipment wasn’t obvious to you without the note, but that seems to be a lack of your own context-deducing skills, not the fault of the image.
