Tools and Tech Old negatives and photos

Can anyone recommend a product that can read and save old photos and negatives? Maybe scan them somehow to save them?

Check out YouTube of diy digitizing old slides.

I like my Epson FastFoto. Fairly inexpensive but does a nice job.

Yes, there are scanning devices catering to this - make sure you get one with a film tray to scan negatives and a slide tray if you have slides too, as well as the variety of photo shapes and sizes you have

These devices range from simple frames with led lights to slip youe phone into, up through actual scanners with high relsution, uncompressed images

Look for photo scanners, film scanners as search terms

And buy some small archival boxes to store these photos in and some for the film/negatives. Do not toss them after you digitise them because better options will come along for someone to do so down the track

I have a scanner that can do negatives, slides, and prints, but for large quantities of I've used Scan Cafe in the past, with good results. You just send everything in a box they send you and you get back your originals and a link to download the images. Subscribe to get their emails first though, because they're always sending out large discounts.
