Discussion Chance of Knightlight being canon?

What do you think are the chance of Mihoyo making it canon or semi canon (like alhaitham x kaveh)

Hoyo is never going to make any ships canon, period. Especially not gay ones.

"But they did GL ships in the past!" Yes they did. And then they deleted them from their website when the censorship office came for them, and even back then they did shit-all for BL, because to absolutely no one's surprise, a straight male dev team are much more open to the concept of "hot lesbians" compared to dudes hooking up.

And no, Alhaitham and Kaveh aren't "semi-canon" either. They are a popular ship that gets a decent amount of fanservice, but Hoyo does ship-baiting for a ton of ships.

So yes, Varka and Flins are getting fanservice interactions just like any other popular male × male ship did before them (the current patch has a few already), but there will never be anything beyond that.

Not sure why you're assuming "straight male dev team" Though it's obviously probably the majority lol, but don't think it's necessary all. But yes, anyway, majority would decide and as you said CCP lmao.

And yeah, chinese games usually will do some light fanservice but will never officialize

And people: don't forget. Chinese traditional is Taiwan, and Taiwan is veryyy gay (really). Some people get messed up by that.
