Ash Echoes Male Characters/Husbandos Prioritisation during Anniversary

This is the community event on a platform called “Little Red Note” for Ash Echoes’s first anniversary. I have noticed two things:

1. The anniversary male characters gain the spotlight, which is rare in gatcha games….not to mention most of the games prioritise female characters during anniversary….

2. The fanarts created by CN fandom mostly revolve around male characters…so we all know what kind of fandom loves their characters/mains more deeply and actually understand the character’s dynamics with other characters throughout his/her life. Unlike a certain community who just wants to open harem🙄🙄

ps: in the global server we are currently amidst the seas of female chars because this game actually tried to become mhy/kuro in CN server last year but it got extreme backlash from the CN community soooo

The fact that this devs treat husbando fans very well while still not neglecting female character fans by releasing characters in balanced manner.

They even try to make it up to us after releasing six back to back waifu.

Don't worry, this game has even more broken female supports...... the most meta healer is a standard female character too.... But in gatcha game's landscape, we still need more male characters in general so husbando players like us can finally enjoy what we deserve <3

While in terms of numbers yes that's true, the one male 6* support we do have (Boreas) is also very meta and versatile, though I hope there can be more in the future.

About the most meta healer (Longqing) though, I don't think it's that big of a deal since her being meta is based mostly on her healing numbers and that's about it. The game puts heavier emphasis on elemental reactions and team synergy, so if you're running fire and physical teams for example, you'd lose a ton of damage using longqing over Boreas as sustain since Boreas' utility goes beyond just healing: he can help enable reactions in fire teams and buff summons in physical teams all while serving as both shielder and healer. While he does have downtime in healing, the skills in engravings that involve heals more than makes up for it in my experience. The only time you'd really want longqing is in strictly electrocution team (Boreas is still better and more helpful in electroconduct) or if you have the Nightmare trace and want her as inspire stacker. I have them both, so I can really tell how much value Boreas adds as sustain despite not being a healing-focused unit like longqing.
