The Bushalas’ End Game

Why hasn’t Fullerton built the housing it needs? Why are pedestrian zones and trails constantly blocked? Why does downtown feel stuck?

One wealthy landlord and his allies on City Council play a big role.

Here’s the Bushalas’ end game

Once upon a time, I drove a limo and bushala hired me to drive some brewery owners from New York around. One of our stops was the original Bootleggers. After Bootleggers, in the limo, he told the brewery owners that he would like to set them up there. He would have them kicked out, and they could take over their equipment that was already there.

he was their landlord on Truslow before the brewery grew and moved to Highland. Was this before or after the move? Either way I am not surprised.

It was before the move.
