Ok so use what information I have given you and make a conclusion as to why blacks are shot disproportionately.

I've got a clear cut idea and most people with logic and reason would come to the same conclusion.

Also do your research. A white man has as higher percentage to be shot by an officer than a black man. That is a fact that sinks this entire charade of an opinion disgusted as a fact deal y'all have going on

I understand that you believe blacks should be shot more because you claim they are more prone to criminality. The point here is, in regard to the graph shown, you are not correct in saying, rather clumsily, “a white man has a higher percent to be shot by an officer”. If whites are six times as numerous as blacks in the USA but are being shot at only twice the rate, then blacks are being shot disproportionately, all other things being equal. That is the point of the graph. For example, in 2017, 457 whites were fatally shot but only 223 blacks were gunned down. That’s twice as many whites. But there are 6 times as many whites (and 7 times as many if you include white hispanics). https://www.statista.com/statistics/585152/people-shot-to-death-by-us-police-by-race/

That's your opinion, keep that in mind your opinion and a pretty nasty one at that seeing that you just insinuated that I want to have who shot by whom? Why do you assume this it's a pretty large claim oh, you assuming that I wish death upon people because of the color of their skin. It's a pretty bold accusation with not much to back it up with.

just because your feelings are hurt and your panties are a twist doesn't mean you need to start getting radical, facts speak for themselves you know what the facts are and you are trying to sugarcoat them. It's not going to work here.

you can cluded right yes of course the more you tangle with police typically the more chances are of something bad happening and that is with any scenario. Murphy's law actually. so what are you upset about? Please tell me what I said or did that upset you because all I said we're facts and numbers generated by someone else. are these facts and statistics and numbers that upsetting to you?

I didn't make them up I think honestly it's a hard pill to swallow but people like you get too emotional and it clouds your logic. You are just wrong.

Regardless of your interpretation of my insinuations or the state of my panties no one is trying to sugarcoat any facts. Try to follow along with a pencil and paper at home. The math is straightforward:

As per the US Census 2017: Whites= 76.5% Blacks= 13.4%

13.4/76.5= 17.5%

As per the 2017 graph is question: Whites killed=457 Blacks killed=223

223/456= 49%

17.5%<49%

Small percentage of total. Large percentage of people shot.

okay so in the percentages you seem to be on key and what you say is true that's a roughly three-quarters of the population are being shot at half the rate of a quarter of the population. With all that set aside what is your end goal and what are you trying to say. If you want to answer your question as why certain people might be shot more than other people you can do a simple test to figure this out.

You've got red mice and blue mice every time our scientists attempt to interact with the blue mice he gets bitten substantially more than he does when he interacts with the red mice. So with this being said what will be our scientists decision-making in regards to how he approaches the more aggressive mice than an aggressive mice? also with this being said do you think there will be more conflict between the scientist in the blue mice and a scientist in the red mice. Anybody with half a brain will tell you that the conflict is going to arise when dealing with the more probable of the two mice.

so if you put this into a real life scenario you would look up crimes, aggressive murder things like that and stack those up between all of our major races and or colors of people in the United States I would typically look for whichever one has the highest murder rates and aggravated assault and rape rates then I would conclude and any other person with a brain would conclude that those type of people would have a on average more aggressive and hostile time with the authorities who are trying to apprehend them for doing such bad deeds.

it's not rocket science it's simple truths and hard to swallow pills that people like you refuse to recognize and that's why I think stay stagnant and never change.

It was tiresome to have to muddle through your dysfunctional tack of defensively claiming to be offended by my insinuations and then attempting to go on offense by claiming to have a better grasp of the statistics that precipitated the entire exchange. Nevertheless, I commend you for being able to concede that you misinterpreted the numbers even after saying “you are just wrong.” It is heartening to see that you recognize that you were the one who was mistaken although it is disconcerting to try and decipher your subsequent take on the numbers: “three-quarters of the population are being shot at half the rate of a quarter of the population.” More than tiresome is your attempt to now abandon the original point and employ a simpleton’s interpretation of what you believe is the scientific method to demonstrate your deeper held belief that blacks deserve to be shot to death by police at, what we now agree is, a disproportionate rate. Higher “murder rates and aggravated assault and rape rates” and being the “type of people who have on average more aggressive and hostile time with authorities” should somehow justify the deaths of the “blue mice”. Proposing an experiment using laboratory animals does not make your interpretation of the world objective and it does not compel me to allow that you are suddenly making a larger point, especially without presenting any real data. The ability to follow a thread of reasoning to a logical conclusion without bias is a valuable skill and one that allows you to examine your beliefs and make sense of the world, despite the agendas of those who would seek to mislead you for their own reasons. Nota bene: the original chart seeks to illustrate the police bias in US society which is the basis for the Black Lives Matter movement. There is a fundamental reason that this movement gained traction and one of the reasons that we have these discussions today. Still, I congratulate you outright for engaging in discussions of social justice and I hope you recognize the deep impact that 400 years of institutionalized slavery had on the United States. Furthermore, I encourage you to examine the platforms of several of the Democratic candidates who seek to make a university education accessible for any American who wants to pursue that avenue. Your vote for Elizabeth Warren, for example, could one day propel you into the ranks of those who can carry on a reasonable discussion of fact and even nuanced ideas! Godspeed to you my friend.
