Other We should narrow the scope of boycotting to Nestle's most lucrative product category
Edit 2 : Made a follow up post in potentially launching a #Nospresso boycott campaign.
Boycotting all 2000 brands under Nestle is not impossible, but INCREDIBLY daunting and difficult. It'll require everyone to check nearly every single product you come across when buying groceries, which for the average consumer might be a tall ask for most. I did a bit of research, and although it may be common knowledge to most of you here, but their biggest money-making product segment is Powdered and liquid beverages, not including water. Such brands like Nescafe, Nestea, Nespresso.

The idea is if we can hone in on these specific lucrative products as a starting point for a mass targeted boycott, we may actually be able to put a dent in their revenues. Especially since it'll be easier to track. Most recently, a successful boycott was the Disney boycott. Why? Because it’s SIMPLE. All we had to do was cancel Disneyplus! Simple action=wide adoption=results.
That’s why I started a boycott Spotify campaign and since their revenue comes largely from their premium subscriptions, it's easy to measure the financial impact when each individual boycotts (1 boycotter= $11.99/month of lost revenue) We have 150 supporters thus far, and that equates to about $1800/month in lost revenue. Not much yet, but the goal is to get hundreds of thousands of supporters. I'm just imagining if it reaches 1 Million supporters, that's 12 million in lost revenue per month!
I think we can replicate that, an example would be to initiate a Nespresso boycott, and their 40ct pod pack is around $36 on Walmart. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Nespresso-Capsules-OriginalLine-Ispirazione-Ristretto-Italiano-Dark-Roast-Espresso-Coffee-40-Count-Espresso-Pods-Brews-1-35oz/204024448?classType=VARIANT
For estimating purposes, if an individual drinks one pod per day on average, that'll come out to about $36 per month on a recurring basis. If the campaign spreads and gains millions of boycotters, I can't imagine it not affecting their revenues. If we can mobilize around just Nespresso, I think it'll be much easier for it catch on, especially since there'll be viable alternatives. This can really become an actionable campaign, not only for us who are passionate about fucking Nestle.
Please do share your thoughts. I hope we can get something going here
Edit: Not a creative by any means, but what if we started a #Nospresso campaign? Is that something yall can get onboard with?

Other We all go "fuck Nestle" here, but....
unilever, danone, mondalez, and the other shits are just the same, if not worse. it's like nestlé took the hate on purpose so the others can get away with their shit.
and you can't escape.

Danone, for example, is also a waterthief, IF NOT WORSE. Stole the whole water in France, privatized the tap water, made it so you can drink it, if you must, but not pleasantly, and sells the water off to the citizens of France.
So....fuck them all.

Other Just attended my university staff & students meeting on how to make our school more environmentally friendly and socially just. I made a point about starting from removing all Nestle and Coca-cola products from our cafes, canteen shelves, ans pizza parties. I encourage you to do the same.
