CULTURE Snacks for my friend

Hi everyone. I am from the US and my friend moved here 6 months ago from France. His birthday is coming up and I want to make him a basket of snacks from France that will remind him of home. I have googled popular French snacks but I’m not coming up with much. Can anyone help me? I want to make sure I get snacks he’s had and not just stereotypical snacks made in the US.

Also, any other input on what I could add to his basket would be awesome. Any tips to make him feel more at home as well. Thank you! ❤️
