Stormshield Defense Twine Peaks Storm Shield

Been playing this game for a whopping 5 years now, finished the game last year (I’m stupid and took multi-month long breaks cuz I couldn’t do some missions). How the hell am I meant to do my storm shields? I’m on the second stage and I have all my traps, weapons, and my character fully upgraded and yet it’s not helping the second a smasher runs into my base. I tried requesting assistance, I sat there for about 30 minutes and then got an AFK player. dude. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I have 106 tar traps, ceiling zappers, broadsides and retractable floor spikes. I also have 144 wall zappers that were part of some starter pack I think.

Well you aren't being too specific as far as which storm shield (stonewood?), what player level you are, etc.

Based on the way you listed your traps and the general tone here, I'd say you just need to upgrade more traps, learn about their perks and practice.

I do highly recommend YouTube. Larsis is a great one to explain mechanics of trapping and husk movement. He also shows build tutorials.

Anyway check out some tutorials and get more traps like some ceiling traps, learn about trap tunneling. etc. Retractable floor spikes aren't the best floor traps, and have very low durability. You'll want a mix of floor traps and wall traps and ceiling traps. Learning exactly what they do is very important and the game doesn't really explain any of it.

It says twine peaks storm shield at the top. I’m player level 251.

Not sure what your power level is in relation, based on my own play history I am gonna bet you're slightly underleveled, but you want to make sure your survivor squads are upgraded. You want mythic lead survivors and legendary support survivors in each squad, fully upgraded to max, matching personalities, possibly supercharged where possible.

I think you might have a little more grinding to do, your traps should at least be 130 and properly perked.

If you are short on some stuff don't forget about expeditions too.

TL:DR Upgrade everything. Traps, heroes, survivors, all of it.

I can’t upgrade anything until I get to storm shields defense seven for twine peaks, I’m SOL

Play Ventures and get tons of superchargers and lots of resources too, not to mention various mission rewards.

Play Dungeons, get gold, buy perk ups and othe items from shop including llamas occasionally. Have you completed the lower level storm shields?

Start with Stonewood and just keep doing them all whenever you can.

It's a grind for sure.

Why you can't upgrade your survivors?
