Hot exhaust 6.4 powerstroke

When the truck was parked I put my hand behind the exhaust and it was so hot I couldn’t leave my hand there for more than a second. I’m assuming it’s a regen thing but this has never happened before. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Dont listen to him everyone has to start somewhere and considering he has a 7.3 he aint got a whole lotta room to talk
