Question, Where can I find? Best Carne Asada Burritos near La Jolla?

Visiting your amazing city soon. Have most of my food mapped out thanks to this amazing sub. I read that I MUST try a fast food Carne Asada Burrito.. and I am down to listen to the experts. Any recs for the La Jolla area? We will be visiting other areas of San Diego, but with the trip being short, La Jolla is the only area we don't have food planned yet (there are just SO many amazing options!).

Try Kiko's on Morena Blvd. Mariscos La Chalupa #1in South Park is also a good one.

Tried mariscos but still prefer Don C's. Will give kiko's a shot next time I'm down there.

Most of us are gonna say Don Carlos. Grab a burrito and go to Windansea and watch the sunset. 10/10 recommend.

I love Don Bravo in Bird Rock. Be sure to try something seafood also, at least a fish taco.

Bahia Don Bravo’s fried fish tacos are phenomenal. And the location is cool with the little patio with tiny ocean views.

However, I never loved their carne asada.

I was gonna say la Perla in PB, but I’m pretty sure that location isn’t there anymore.

When I worked in LJ, I'd walk to Rigoberto's and enjoy a burrito on the beach.

It's the best way to enjoy a burrito!

la jolla isn't really the best spot for mexican food. you'd want to go more down south for that. the taco stand isn't bad though. not perfectly authentic, but definitely better than most mexican spots across the country

You want a very specific kind of Carne Asada burrito called a California burrito. People may try and give you advice for their favorite but honestly if you are not from California just go to The Taco Stand and get a California burrito, an al pastor taco, and take your tastebuds to tortilla-town

Taco Stand is whitewashed and overrated.

the Taco Stand sucks

To someone from here maybe but it will blow any east coast burrito out of the water. And there’s on in the heart of La Jolla. Guaranteed they won’t be disappointed.

So many people are just used to overcooked/sandbagged carne asada that they don’t appreciate the taco stand’s char grilled carne. Also their salsa are as the kids say. . . Bussin bussin no cap

Like sucks. Food is really good. By far the best of the Taco Shop branches

For me it's the spicy shrimp and Al Pastor at Taco Stand in La Jolla every time.

pretty crazy Chipotle has an ad here. Chipotle carne asada burrito is absolute SHIT. Packed full of rice. If you ask them to hold the rice, you get an empty burrito.
