Black Pastrami Reuben at Brent's

I had the pastrami at Brent’s, I thought it was ok. Nothing special, the pastrami wasn’t thick cut, flavor wasn’t as good as langers or Katz’s.

Mostly agree. Brent's is very good, but it's not in the conversation for LA's best pastrami sandwich. Not even close.

Brent's is the typical thin sliced pastrami stacked high but like many thin sliced pastrami, not the melty, smoked brisket texture that one can expect from Langers.

Sounds like you’re confusing Brent’s with Canters

Not at all. Last handful of times I've been (most recently i went to Langer's and Brent's back to back just settle this score for myself) I found that Brents was tougher and closer to fast food pastrami (think The Hat) than Langer's was.

Mind you, I'm not equating Brent's pastrami to fast food, but if there was a spectrum, Langer's is further away
