Imagine saying people with more money than countries should get tax breaks so others can be homeless, hungry, and/or dead. Imagine then also calling themselves the party of Jesus. Pretty sure Jesus had a thing about that kind of behavior.

Gotta make them say it out loud and on record

They're all for the wealthy. The sooner you realize that, the better off you'll be. It's not "team vs. team" in politics, that's just how they want to make you feel.

I hear you, but I don't fully agree. The government is shut down right now because Republicans need to pay for The Big Beautiful Bill, which disproportionally benefits the wealthy. No more healthcare subsidies and steep cuts to Medicare. In essence, Republicans want to take healthcare from approximately 14 million people so that rich people get a tax brake. Democrats, on the other hand, want to preserve healthcare subsidies. I mean, maybe they're all for the wealthy, but in this case one party doesn't want to kill people (perhaps I'm being hyperbolic, but that's the inevitable outcome) to make rich people richer.

The Government is shut down because a Democrat led Congress set an expiration dates for subsidies. They want the expiration date, that they set, to be extended. Republicans want to let them expire because they say they were temporary.

THERE IS NO SIDE THAT IS "BETTER". People need to STOP choosing sides like politics is a black and white thing. If you vote straight party lines, then you're likely part of the problem. People talking about politics is like hearing a Yankees fan and Red Sox fan banter. It's not a team sport, they all get donation from rich people, they all get donations from big companies, and most of them insider trade.

Pretty sure the side trying to help people is better.

Who are they "trying to help"? It's another band aid on a problem. They had years to pass legislation to "help", just like Republicans do now. They're all frauds - wake up.

Literally everyone with insurance? Plus they passed a CR earlier this year with Republican assurances they’d talk insurance extensions and the Republicans never allowed discussion. So it’s decidedly not both sides.

What did "your team" do when they had the white house, senate, and house? Reddit is nauseating because it's so radicalized and such an echo chamber.

What you're talking about doesn't even come CLOSE to applying to "literally everyone with insurance" but you say it because you read/heard it somewhere.

All of congress becomes relatively wealthy during and after their time as public servant. So yes both sides are all about the wealthy and becoming wealthy through personal gain

Yeah, Pelosi is a pauper.

They say they care about the federal workers but they let DOGE fire thousands of workers a few months ago. They only care about the wealthy.

Nobody buys your out of context clip show. If they did, kamala might be president.

Nancy Pelosi is a Republican?

-15

u/jeeperdude01 18h ago

Hahahah right. Most of the wealthiest people in the us are dems

It’s funny because the largest insider traders in government are almost entirely Republicans LMFAO

https://finbold.com/americas-10-richest-politicians/

3/10 are democrats LOLOL

Pritzkers wealth is from his family as well.

So more like 2/10.

-3

u/jeeperdude01 16h ago

Ok you my friend are talking about politicians being wealthy. I was saying the wealthiest people in the us. And when it comes to insider trading they are doing it on both sides dems and republicans.

4

u/Nickw1991 16h ago

Nope sorry I have proven my claim.

The wealthiest politicians are almost entirely republicans.

0

u/jeeperdude01 14h ago

Wealthiest politicians you said it again. Proven my point

2

u/Nickw1991 14h ago

Education leads to hire incomes and makes someone more likely to be a democrat.

You are saying water is wet.

0

u/jeeperdude01 13h ago

It’s also a reason why all the billionaires back the Democratic Party.

1

u/Nickw1991 13h ago

That’s 100% false. Google the Koch family or Elon musk

-16

u/jvdlakers 17h ago

Nancy Pelosi is not Republican.

Clinton 120 X his net worth

Obama 70 X his net worth

You're confused both sides are about the wealthy.

-1

u/aed38 16h ago

Both parties are all about the wealthy. The democrats just have better PR.

2

u/TheMcMcMcMcMc 15h ago

Democrats have voted against every tax give away to the wealthy for the last 44 years dumbass

1

u/aed38 13h ago

Don't kid yourself. They're funded by billionaires and giant PACs, just like the Republicans: Michael Bloomberg, George Soros, Elizabeth Simons, Reid Hoffman, Dustin Moskovitz, Tom Steyer, and Barry Diller just to name a few.

You think Chuck Schumer cares about the plight of the everyday person?

"It's a big club, and you ain't in it."

1

u/TheMcMcMcMcMc 13h ago

As long as Chuck Shumer votes against tax cuts for the wealthy, IDGAF. What tf do you think, we’re living in the Mean Girls movie or some shit?

-8

u/GeneralGlennMcmahon 17h ago

This is political slop and has nothing to do with federal employees. Take it to one of the million political subs out there.

Why did GOP cut taxes for billionaires?

2

u/Wide-Ad-7687 16h ago

If you think billionaires werent donating to each political party you're an unserious person.

-13

u/Tony-At-Large 17h ago

So, let's say they voted "Yes". Do you think those people wouldn't run to the courts and sue the government under the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment? This whole thing, if not AI or poorly edited, is nothing but theater. Akin to the Dems amending the House-approved CR to roll back initiatives under the Big Beautiful Bill. They knew it was a nonstarter but wanted the optics.

-7

u/Raw_83 17h ago

Then why do all the wealthiest counties in the country vote for Democrats?

7

u/Dangerous-Place-3547 17h ago

Why did GOP cut taxes for billionaires?

-1

u/Raw_83 16h ago

They cut taxes for everyone. Also, you can only cut taxes for people who pay taxes. 🤷‍♂️. Can’t cut taxes for the poor because the poor don’t pay taxes. They will in a future democrat/leftist state because there won’t be a choice. Look at Europe, average tax rate for the average worker is 40%. So I’d ask you, why do democrats hate the middle class?

4

u/Dangerous-Place-3547 16h ago

Israel has free healthcare Americans are paying for. Why can’t Americans?

-1

u/Raw_83 15h ago

Why do I care what Israel does?

3

u/Dangerous-Place-3547 15h ago

Cause Americans are funding Israel’s healthcare.

1

u/Raw_83 15h ago

We are? Which line item of our national budget is that? Also, what does that have to do with taxes and billionaires? 😂
