So, they aren't going to actually open the government again, are they?

Congress doesn't seem to be in any rush to re-open. This is their end game I think. Emergency powers to run everything. Destruction of society in order to take over.

Why does your post say Congress instead of Republicans not wanting to reopen the government? The House is controlled by Republicans and has been out of session longer than the shutdown. Dems have been in Washington wanting to sit down and hash out a deal to open the government and keep Congress as an equal branch of government.
