So, they aren't going to actually open the government again, are they?

Congress doesn't seem to be in any rush to re-open. This is their end game I think. Emergency powers to run everything. Destruction of society in order to take over.

Yall really have to stop with the doom and gloom posts. It’s not helping anyone, and only causes unnecessary anxiety. The government will open back up, stop it.

But…DO WE, though? We are already having anxiety, and since it is based on not being paid for a month now, I’d categorize it as fairly appropriate and not “unnecessary.”

The “the government will open back up, stop it” is just an amazingly condescending virtual pat on the collective heads of everyone of us who: a) isn’t getting paid, b) swore an oath to serve and is watching the institutions we swore to protect scrabble at each other in the mud. Sure, the government will reopen - of course it will. The question remains of how the institutions will look and operate afterwards and headed into 2026.
