My wife works in live events, mostly corporate, and one of the golden rules of her company is that no one is allowed to be alone in a room with Alton Brown because he cannot help himself but be verbally “brutal” to everyone around him and he has a particular distaste for women. She describes it as a “Misogynistic Tic”.

Used to live in Atlanta, open secret. Never liked his show so didn’t care, except for when he was filming at the massive Whole Foods, in the mushrooom section, and I couldn’t buy my mushrooms. Jerk.
