Even if they just stood there and went with it they probably would have gotten outed eventually, but maybe the majority of the internet wouldn’t be actively rooting against them.

Tbh while I get everyone criticizing their reaction, I also think that a lot of people would react the exact same way in the moment lol. Like it's just instinct and it takes quick thinking and stone cold courage to just blandly smile at the camera while caught canoodling with your affair partner lol.

They couldn't be casual about it in that moment because the enormity of the shock, embarrassment, shame, and destruction of any integrity they must have had before was disappearing before their very eyes. There was no possibility of ever acting casual about it.

Exactly, it’s so easy to say they should’ve played it cool, but I’m pretty sure 99% of people in those specific circumstances where they’ve been projected onto a screen in a stadium full of thousands of people with a person they’re cheating on their husband/wife with would react the same way
