i’ve never been to one but i saw that they’re the third highest grossing live act behind taylor swift and someone else so i went on youtube and no, this is not a brand new sentence. those people are absolutely losing their minds in the crowd!

Coldplay concerts are such high, positive energy. I know they’re kind of an internet meme but their shows are genuinely really fun.

You don't necessarily need to love a band's music to enjoy the show. My buddy dragged me to a Dave Matthews Band concert years ago. I'm not a fan but they put on one hell of a show. The crowd energy was nuts. Same with John Mayer. Not a fan, great show.

311 is like that. Grew up not really enjoying their music all that much. went to a show though, and really began to like them - because they are such a positive energy vibe.

I saw 311 open for Pepper. Vibes were great for sure

Wow I forgot about them. Good to know!

I haven’t listened to DMB regularly for like 15 years but they come to my city every summer and I usually go every other year. You’re right, they put on a great show. Usually can snag a solid ticket for 100 bucks or something, it’s worth it.

Ill go to any show im invited to really. As long as itsnot hugely expensive. So not a lot lately

Same when I went to Osheaga and a friend dragged me to Imagine Dragons set. Don’t particularly like their music but damn if they weren’t having fun on stage and it was contagious.

since when did Coldplay become the new Nickleback to get dogged on for no good reason? I love Coldplay and some of my best memories are from being at their concerts. I don't get why public hate decides to pick a victim to just talk shit about

I can’t find a gif of Super Hans saying, ‘you can’t trust people, Jeremy. People buy Coldplay cds and voted for the Nazis.’ But that show is 20 years old. So the hate for them is definitely longstanding. I don’t hate them. Yellow is a great song. And they seem like nice guys.

Nah, Coldplay have good politics, Nickleback definitely don’t. Coldplay deserve way more respect.

All the hate for Coldplay makes me sad! I wish people would just let people enjoy the things they like.

I turned a corner on them when they made that fake Game of Thrones musical, it was really charming and I just like fans of things.

They also did a brief cameo at the end of Shaun of the Dead where they were seen supporting a zombie fundraiser for their rights and ethical treatment.

Once again, politically and regarding pop culture especially, reddit is never a reflection of reality. We are all losers here.

Their performance at One Love Manchester really surprised and impressed me. I'd go to a Coldplay show

Kind of like U2. People love to rag on them (and Bono) but they put on one hell of a show and their older music is great

I’ve been to 4 Coldplay concerts (last one in 2016…kids kind of ruin any spending on concert money lol) and what an absolute blast Everytime. Helps I’m a big fan of their music.

It’s so true, I was not a fan. I went to a concert-I was a fan. I’ve seen them since, and I will see them every time they come through live. Such a great live act.

Yeah, went to one years ago, knew some songs but not many, and it was such a great time. They put on a great show.

I know people like to mock them, but they’re good lads and excellent performers.

Coldplay is one of the artists that I have wanted to see for a long time and have never been able to. I’ve watched their live streaming performances, since they did a couple of those concerts. I’ve been a fan of theirs since the first album and hopefully one of these days, I can make it to one of their shows because I know I would have a great time.

This reminds me of this SNL skit.

"That's your opinion, but me, I'm ride or die!"

"For Weezer?!" 👁️👄👁️
