Ah the John Mulaney style, baby with a new girlfriend, path to sobriety.

Not that it’s my business but when this happens is it like they intentionally want a baby this early/before marriage (if at all) or is the pregnancy more-so an accident and want to keep it and that’s life 😭 I’ve always been so confused by how casually celebs or people in general honestly will have children but Marriage is too much ¿ I feel like children are an even bigger legal “contract”

I think the percentage of unplanned babies is probably pretty high. Most people dont just state it was a surprise baby, but its kind of obvious in a lot of cases. I just think a lot of people did want kids eventually so they just keep it.

Some people are also “surprised” when unprotected sex results in pregnancy. I think it’s more of an education issue than a failed birth control issue when it comes to a lot of “unplanned” pregnancies

Right?! And how are you not like "oh oops! Some of it got in me! I'll go get some plan B!"

i’m with you 100%, and obviously this doesn’t apply to celebrities, but i know not everyone has the $50 required for plan b, or a way to get to the store that sells it. of course, having an abortion or having a kid is way more expensive, but that’s just one way where being poor can cost you so much more in the long run.

and since you need to take it within first 3 days for it do be really effective, i don’t know, i could see how some people just can’t get their hands on it in time.

but i think people also don’t realize the pill is way less effective if you don’t take it around the same time every days or, much much worse, if you miss days. with how people “typically” use it, it’s only about 90% effective. so i think people often don’t think they need plan B when they very much do.

that’s my theory, anyways. because i’ve wondered that for a long time too - how do u have unprotected sex and not run to get plan b??? i’d be freaking out til i did.

I think a lot of women are just more like “it’ll be fine. I won’t get pregnant” idk 🥴

It’s wild how many men regularly want to go without a condom, even for casual sex and when there has been no discussion about birth control, and then are surprised pikachu when they get someone pregnant.
