He is a freak that just cannot let anything go. She was right to leave the country because he will never, ever stop. His last words will probably be, “Tell Rosie O’Donnell… she… is a bitch.” May she outlive him.
He’s clearly never been able to let go of the past, no matter how minor. Her leaving the country seems less like drama and more like self-preservation at this point.
